Project: Meditation retreat with venerable Bhante Vimalaramsi in Europe 2020

place: southern germany and Netherlands
"Put a little smile on your lips and put a smile in your heart. The more we can learn to smile the happier our mind becomes. Smile as much as you can into everything all day long."

Ven. Bhante Vimalaramsi is the abbot of Dhamma Sukha Meditation Center in Annapolis, Missouri. Bhante teaches Tranquil Wisdom Insight Meditation also known as T.W.I.M. It is a mindfulness practice based on the Bhrahma Vihara starting with loving kindness or goodwill (pali: metta).

Following successful 10 day retreats with Ven. Bhante Vimalaramsi in the UK in 2019 and in Germany 2014, the Sati-Stiftung, together with Koen und Jeroen from the Netherlands, is happy to help to bring Bhante back to Europe in autumn of 2020.

The retreat in Germany will take place from 28 September to 8 October 2020 at Gut Helmeringen in Lauingen on the Danube; and the retreat in the Netherlands will be held from 11 October to 21 October at in Venwoude in Lage Vuursche. You can register online here.

The Sati Foundation would like to give you the opportunity to participate in funding the travel expenses for Ven. Bhante Vimalaramsi and his attendant David to Germany as well as the teaching assignment and share the merit with us.

Update August 2020

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the 10-day silent retreat with Bhante Vimalaramsi, which was to take place in Germany this fall, was cancelled.

Thanks to the generosity of the registered participants, the Sati Foundation was able to donate Euro 1400 to the Dhamma Sukha Meditation Center. We like to thank all the donors!

ongoing projects and general fund in 2020

This year we had the following 3 ongoing projects: Support to Venerable Bhikkhuni Silavaddhani, Monastic Medical Support, Maintenance of Aneñja Vihara. Thanks to the kind donations of many supporters we were able to fund those projects well. Through the general fund some non-project related donation were made in 2020.
